CARIS Paper Chart Composer

Copy selected features to a scratch layer. Features that are copied to a scratch layer can be edited and imported back to the panel.

A scratch layer is temporary and cannot be saved. You can import features from the scratch layer into panel using the Import Selected Objects command.

Procedure

1. Select one or more features.

2. Select the Copy to Scratch Layer command.

If no scratch layer exists, the Select Catalogue dialog box is displayed.

3. Select a catalogue from the Name list then click OK.

If you select Active Layer, the new scratch layer will use the catalogue of the active layer. If you select a different catalogue, you can set other options.

The features are copied to the scratch layer.
