Create New Database Product

Menu

File > New Database Product

Create a new product of the type selected when opening the workspace.

Different commands will run depending on the product type. See Vector Product for details.

Procedure

1. Open a project, selecting the product type you want to create.

See Open HPD Project for details.

2. Make the required data and area visible.

3. Select the Create New Product command.

Different commands are run depending on the product type. For example:

• If you chose ENC, step 1 of the Create S-57 Product Wizard is displayed. Many of the fields are filled with metadata from the selected product.

• If you chose Tiled Raster, the Create Tiled Raster Product command is run.

Other product types will run similar commands.

4. Complete the new product wizard.

A new product is created and displayed in the Layers window. You should immediately save the new product.

Important: Save the new product before modifying it.
