Export selected features to a CARIS file.

The file used to map HOB features to CARIS features is controlled by Export to CARIS Conversion Table in the Options dialog box. The default file is s57_default_o2f.dat in C:\Program Files\CARIS\<application>\<version>\system\CARISConfig\ system\. You could create your own custom file or use an existing file for a different application or module. If, for example, you wanted to use the output file in CARIS LOTS, you could change this file to LOTS_o2f.dat. If you want to use it with the Limits and Boundaries module, you could use \C:\Program Files\CARIS\<application>\<version> \Modules\Limits and Boundaries\support\carisconfig\LBM.dat.

Procedure

1. Select the features to be exported.

2. Select the Export Selection to CARIS command.

A Save As dialog box is displayed.

3. Select a location and a name for the file.

4. Click Save.

The data is exported. Information on the export process is displayed in the Output window.
