Menu | File > Export > Selection > HOB |
Export selected features on the active layer to a HOB file, extension .hob.
If the active layer is a filter layer, all features will be exported if you do not make a selection.
Features can be in a dataset or from a background image.
A mapping file can be applied to convert features from one data format to another. A catalogue must be associated with the data.
This file can be opened in a chart viewer program.

Procedure
1. Make a layer active.
2. Select features to be exported.
3. Select the Export to HOB command.
A Save As dialog box is displayed.
4. Select a location and a name for the file.
5. Click Save.
The Advanced Options dialog box is displayed.
6. [Optional] Enable Feature Mapping and select a mapping file.
7. Click OK.
If the Select Catalogue dialog box is displayed:
8. From the Name list, select a data type.
The dictionary and profile associated with that data type is displayed in the Profile and Dictionaries fields.
9. Click OK.
The features are exported.
