Lexical Level

Lexical levels are used to indicate what character sets are used in product attributes values. Most attributes must be defined in English. National language attribute values can contain equivalent names in other languages.

Lexical Level 0 contains English-language letters, numbers, and special characters such as dollar sign, spaces and brackets.

Lexical Level 1 is Lexical Level 0 plus extended characters including French accents, operands (e.g., divide and multiply).

Lexical Level 2 attributes are Unicode text (two-byte characters) which support languages that cannot be supported by Lexical Level 1. HPD supports all the above Lexical Levels.
