Create New Stand-Alone Product from S-57 Dataset

File > New > Product > From S-57 Dataset

Create a stand-alone product from an S-57 dataset.

A stand-alone product does not retain any connection to its source dataset. You cannot update a stand-alone product from source.

This uses the Create S-57 Product Wizard. Mandatory fields are shaded red. When values are added, the fields turn green.

Procedure

1. Select the Create New Stand-Alone Product from S-57 Dataset command.

A file open dialog box is displayed.

2. Select an S-57 dataset and click Open.

The Select Catalogue dialog box is displayed.

3. Select the appropriate S-57 catalogue.

The Create S-57 Product Wizard is displayed.

4. Enter the necessary information in all the wizard dialog boxes.

The new product is created.

Important: Save the new product before modifying it.
