Remove the overlapping portions of overlapping edges with identical coordinates in selected lines and areas. This command removes exact overlaps

No new coordinates will be added to the features that use the edges that this command is run on.

There are two similar commands:

• Remove Edge Overlaps command can be used to resolve nearly exact overlaps.

• Conflate Edges command can be used to resolve near overlaps.

If any other feature types such as points or soundings are in the selection, no overlaps will be removed.

The output is displayed in a message box.

Procedure

1. Select two or more lines or areas.

2. Select the Remove Overlaps With Identical Coordinates command.

If overlaps are removed, a message like this is displayed.
