Create a new area.

For complete information about creating new features, see Create Features.

By default, you add the area boundary as a point to point line, but you can select several different line types from the pop-up menu.

When you change line types, digitizing continues from the most recent end point.

Line type commands:

You can only create areas within the project boundaries.

Procedure

1. Select the Create Area Feature command.

2. Select an acronym and set any necessary attributes.

3. Add points to define the boundary line.

4. Select the Close Area command.

The area is added.
